Are You Rolesville's Next Advisory Board Member?

The Town of Rolesville is actively seeking members to serve on its Board of Adjustment. The board meets infrequently and is a unique and interesting body of volunteers. Members hear and decide appeals of orders, requirements, variance requests, and decisions or determinations made by the Administrator or Technical Review Committee. Training is provided and applications are being accepted for three in-town members and two ETJ (extra territorial jurisdiction) members. To determine your demographic status, please refer to the map provided. Complete an application to become a part of this important civil service group. A brief interview process will follow.

The Planning Board is a 7 member group that meets on a monthly basis, hears staff reports on upcoming land use cases then submits its recommendations to the Board of Commissioners through town staff reports, meeting minutes and occasional joint meetings. The Planning Board meets on the 4th Monday of each month at Town Hall. There are currently 3 seats on the Planning Board with term expirations. 1 is an in-town seat and 2 are in the town's ETJ. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board (PARAB) is another group of volunteers, guided by a liaison from the Board of Commissioners and staff and meeting on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The primary mission of the PARAB is to ensure and enhance the quality of life for residents of the Rolesville community. The board has seven members comprised of residents, one student representative, and has multiple subcommittees, of which one or more should elicit your interest.
