Mayor's April 9 Message on COVID-19

Stay Home, Stay Safe, and Stay Connected

Fellow Rolesville Residents,

Spring has sprung in Rolesville! What a beautiful time of year in our community. I’m so proud of how our community values beautification, and we are truly one of the nicest communities in this region. Our pride is on full display this time of year.

I want to express my on-going gratitude to Rolesville citizens while we continue through this period of staying at home and staying safe. Overall, our community compliance to the Wake County and Governor Cooper’s orders has been exceptional. We have regularly been communicating with other municipalities on compliance throughout Wake County. Monitoring compliance of social distancing has been a priority of ours particularly in senior housing, parks, and other large congregating areas. We expect Governor Cooper will be providing more guidance on social distancing at grocery stores and other business locations that are open to the public.

One important effort in our community is helping assist with those who are in need of food security. Thanks to the Wake County Public School System for providing lunch services to children 18 and younger. This service is available weekdays from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Rolesville High School, Rolesville Middle School, and Sanford Elementary School. In addition, Town staff is meeting with a regional food security team weekly. We’ve also been helping coordinate with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle of Raleigh and Raleigh Dream Center on the delivery of frozen dinners to those in need for weekend meals in our community and region. Our local Food Security web page is available for more information.

I wish you a blessed Easter weekend and thank you for making Rolesville a great community.

For the most up to date information on Town services and resources available, continue to monitor the Town of Rolesville website

So, stay home, stay safe, and stay connected to each other Rolesville.

Sincerely,

Ronnie I. Currin

Rolesville Mayor
