"THE FARM" PARK
Where is Parks and Recreation in Rolesville headed? Well, it turns out, just to the end of N. Main Street on Hwy 401! The Town of Rolesville is in the middle of a multi-year process to build the Town’s newest recreation area, The Farm Park.
The park will consist of a combination of recreation facilities including baseball/softball, and multipurpose fields as well as indoor and outdoor event spaces, a dog park, and an agritourism area. The master planning process has revealed The Farm Park has the potential to be a regional destination for a diversity of users.
A rich archaeological and cultural history combined with athletic offerings and iconic event space positions The Farm Park as a premier destination for families, tournament players, performers and artists, history lovers, nature seekers, and event planners.
2026 Updates
In February 2026, the Wake County Board of Commissioners voted to approve $23.5 million in funding to support 12 sports, arts, and cultural projects across nine municipalities, including $3.8 million towards the Farm Park in Rolesville. The funding will go towards building 5 soccer/multipurpose fields and the associated amenities, such as bathrooms, concession stands, parking, and more.
The Town of Rolesville is also partnering with North Carolina FC (NCFC) Youth for the project. NCFC plans to contribute to construction costs, and a long-term agreement was made in which NCFC will manage and maintain the fields.
2025 Updates
In 2025, Phase 1 of the park project was completed. Phase 1 included the entrance to the park, and the turning lane into the park from the Highway 401 bypass.
Planning work for Phase 2 began once the entrance was finished.
