Baseball & Softball Opening Day Ceremony

REC Day is returning! Come celebrate the opening day of Baseball & Softball. The ceremony will be held on Field C, where each team will be recognized. Enjoy food trucks, a team parade, games throughout the day, and a fundraiser supporting the NC Autism Society.
Event Schedule
- 10:00 AM: Opening Ceremony & Parade of Teams
- 11:30 AM: Games Begin
- 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Food Trucks & Inflatables. We will also be hosting a fundraiser for the NC Autism Society during the event.
Opening Ceremony Details
The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 AM with a brief welcome, followed by the parade of teams.
Each team will:
- Walk from Marvin Perry Field around Field C
- Run to the pitching mound to be announced
- Sit in the outfield for the remainder of the ceremony
Event Activities
- Food Trucks & Inflatables: Located in the Rolesville Elementary School carpool lot (behind Marvin Perry Field)
- NC Autism Society Fundraiser: Located near the picnic shelter in the grassy area
- Includes handprint painting on a Rolesville Police car
- Opportunity to learn more about the organization
Parking
Designated parking areas include:
- Redford Place Park
- Rolesville Elementary School
- Dental office on Redford Place Drive
- Overflow parking will be available in the field next to Rolesville Elementary.
COACHES
- Please arrive by 9:15 AM
- Ensure your team is lined up on Marvin Perry Field by 9:50 AM
- A Town of Rolesville staff member will direct the parade
During the parade:
- Have one coach at the front and one at the back of your team
Game Notes:
- If your team plays at 11:30 AM, keep your team together after the ceremony and head directly to your field
- If not, please clear Field C and enjoy the event until your game time
PARENTS/PLAYERS
- Please drop off your player at Marvin Perry Field by 9:30 AM, then proceed to Field C
- Be with your team on Marvin Perry Field by 9:50 AM
- Players not with their team by 9:50 AM may miss the parade
After the Ceremony:
- If your child has an 11:30 AM game, they should remain with their coach
- If not, please pick them up and clear Field C
While you wait for your child’s game, feel free to:
- Cheer on other teams
- Enjoy food trucks and inflatables
- Support the NC Autism Society fundraiser

Dear Vendors,
Thank you for participating in REC Day! The event will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Redford Place Park (121 Redford Place Drive, Rolesville, NC 27571). The event will have an opening ceremony, food trucks, inflatables, and baseball and softball games starting at 11:30 am. There will also be a fundraiser for the NC Autism Society. Please see the attached map for the event layout.
