Special Event Permits

Do you need a Special Event Permit?

Any event scheduled to take place on public property and/or requires the coordination of town resources requires an approved special event permit.


A special event application provides the necessary information to process and consider permit issuance. Final event approval and permit will be determined in accordance with the Town of Rolesville’s adopted special events ordinance.

How to Apply for a Special Event Permit

  1. Read the Special Event Ordinance.
  2. Contact the Special Events Program Coordinator if this is your first request for a special event at 919-554-6582. They will determine whether or not a permit application should be submitted.
  3. If determined necessary, complete the Town of Rolesville Special Event Permit Application. All applications and related forms must be submitted to the Town of Rolesville no less than 60 days prior to the start of the event.
