- Stormwater (Erosion/Flooding Concerns) - Wake County Watershed Management investigates and enforces stormwater and erosion control measures (including addressing flooding issues) for the Town of Rolesville. Please call Wake County at 919-856-7400 to report a problem for investigation.

Wake County Fire Services issues all mandatory permits as required pursuant to Section 105 of the NC Fire Prevention Code for blasting, underground storage tank removal, and tents within all the unincorporated areas of Wake County and the municipalities of Rolesville and Wendell.

Outdoor open burning is regulated by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality and the North Carolina Forest Service, depending upon the location and type of burning.
The Town of Rolesville Prohibits open burning within the corporate limits under Town Code Section § 93.10 - No open burning. There are a few exemptions, they can be found in Section § 93.11 - Exemptions

Construction activity is defined as "the erection excavating, blasting, demolition, drilling or similar destruction of rock, and alteration, or repair of any building".
Town Code Noise Ordinance 2024-O-36 prohibits construction activity except during the following hours:
7:00 am and 7:00 pm Monday through, and Friday, and 8:00 am and 6:00 pm on Saturday.
With the exception of blasting, hammering, drilling or similar destruction of rock other than between the following hours:
9:00 am and 6:00 pm- Monday through and including Friday, and 10:00 am and 6:00 pm on Saturday.
If you suspect construction activity outside of the approved hours, please contact the Police Department Non-Emergency line at 919-556-7226 to request an officer investigate the noise disturbance.
Please complete a Report a Concern form to request that the Rolesville Police Department investigate an unnecessary noise disturbance.
Town Code Section § 130.04 - Unnecessary noise states, "It shall be unlawful for any person to create or assist in creating, permit, continue, or permit the continuance of any unreasonable loud, disturbing, and unnecessary noise in the Town. The noise of such character, intensity, and duration as to be detrimental to the life or health of any individual is prohibited."

The Town of Rolesville has no enforcement of Storm Water measures such as flooding issues due to construction, drainage from adjoining properties, or mud from construction sites.
Any possible violation must be investigated by the Wake County Watershed Management: Erosion & Sedimentation Control, Floodplain & Stormwater Management agency.
