Multi-Million Dollar Transformation for Rolesville, NC

ROLESVILLE- On February 17th, Mayor Ronnie Currin, County Commissioners, Town Staff and guests will gather on 101 North Main Street for the groundbreaking of The Rolesville Mainstreet Project exactly one week after the Town’s Public Works Facility groundbreaking ceremony.

The Town of Rolesville has grown over 150% within the last decade and the small town is now ready to transform Main Street into a true town center. Town leaders and community members collaborated on a Vision Plan in 2018 that will include some of the following: building mixed-use developments, expanding housing options and making streetscape improvements. The project is beginning the construction phase which will lead to traffic delays and lane closures for a significant period of time.

The Rolesville Mainstreet Project proposes the realignment of Burlington Mills Road and improvements to Main Street from realigned Burlington Mills Road to northeast of the Young Street intersection. “This is an exciting time for Rolesville,” said Mayor Ronnie Currin.  “This project is a realization of the vision established by the Town to create a true downtown destination with retail, dining and entertainment.”  The project also seeks to promote safety, walk-ability, bike-ability along Main Street.

This transformation will ultimately make it safer for people to walk, take transit, bike, and drive on Main Street in Rolesville. There will be various ways to receive information and updates throughout the 22-month project.
