At 0137 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, the Rolesville Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 800 block of Willow Tower Ct.

Rolesville Fire Department units arrived on scene in just 4 minutes and encountered a working house fire with heavy fire coming from the upper stories and rear of the residential house. Firefighters immediately initiated a fire attack while simultaneously conducting a search of the residence.

The residence was confirmed to be occupied by an adult female at the time of the fire. While searching and conducting fire suppression, the interior stability of the structure began to compromise with a collapse of the second story due to the fire affecting the stability of the structure.

The fire was contained in roughly one hour. Approx. 30 firefighters from Rolesville, New Hope, and Wake Forest Fire Departments responded to the call. No firefighter or other injuries were reported.

After the fire was contained, an investigation led by Wake County Fire Marshall’s Office with assistance from Rolesville PD, state and federal law enforcement went underway immediately. During the investigation, the body of a deceased adult female was located in the debris. The identity of the female has not been released, pending further investigation. The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation by the Wake County Fire Marshal's Office and the medical examiner with assistance from the Rolesville Police Department.
