Proclamation Approved Recognizing Juneteenth

Mayor Ronnie Currin signed a proclamation recognizing Juneteenth (PNG, 176.28 KB) on June 19, 2025. It is the oldest known celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. 

Town Offices will be closed on Juneteenth, and a celebration commemorating the day will take place at the newly renovated Mill Bridge Nature Park amphitheater on June 21, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
