Publix held its grand opening ceremony this morning at Wallbrook at 821 S. Main Street. The event was well attended by local public officials, and Mayor Ronnie Currin gave a quick address to the crowd and then cut the ribbon.
Wallbrook is a 78-acre mixed-use development by Crosland Southeast which includes over 265,000 sq. ft. of retail, restaurant and office space, 138 Townhomes, and Publix. It is located at the southern end of Main Street, coming into town from Raleigh, and helps to fulfill the Town's vision for creating a downtown destination.
