Rolesville Earns 2025 Tree City USA Recognition

The Tree City USA program recognizes communities that demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining and expanding their urban forest through sustainable forestry practices, effective community engagement, and dedicated investment in tree care and planting initiatives.

Rolesville’s continued recognition reflects the Town’s ongoing efforts to preserve green spaces, enhance public landscapes, and promote the environmental and economic benefits that trees provide, such as cleaner air, improved stormwater management, energy savings, and increased property values.

“Earning Tree City USA recognition for the 10th year is a testament to our community’s shared commitment to preserving and enhancing Rolesville’s natural beauty,” said Mayor Ronnie Currin. “Our trees are an essential part of what makes Rolesville such a special place to live, work, and raise a family. This milestone reflects the hard work of our staff, volunteers, and residents who understand that investing in our urban forest is an investment in our future.”

To qualify for Tree City USA recognition, communities must meet four core standards: maintaining a tree board or department, establishing a community tree ordinance,Plaque with tree city USA 2022 to 2025 on it. spending at least $2 per capita on urban forestry, and celebrating Arbor Day annually.
