Rolesville Named North Carolina’s Safest City for 2026

The Town of Rolesville is proud to announce it has been named North Carolina’s Safest City for 2026 by SafeWise, a national organization that analyzes crime trends and public safety data across the country.

Rolesville earned this top ranking by maintaining violent crime rates 53% lower than the national average and an overall crime rate 48% lower than the national average.

SafeWise bases its rankings on the most recent FBI-reported violent and property crime data, adjusted for population, allowing for fair comparisons between cities of different sizes and highlighting meaningful patterns in public safety.

“This recognition speaks volumes about the strong sense of community we have in Rolesville and the shared commitment to looking out for one another,” said Mayor Ronnie Currin. “Our residents, town staff, and public safety professionals work together every day to make Rolesville a safe and welcoming place to live, work, and raise a family.”

Police Chief David Simmons credited proactive policing and community partnerships for the town’s continued success.

“This ranking reflects the dedication of our officers and the trust we’ve built with the community,” Simmons said. “Public safety is most effective when law enforcement and residents work side by side, and Rolesville exemplifies that partnership.”

The Town of Rolesville remains committed to investing in public safety, community engagement, and data-driven strategies to ensure it continues to be a safe place for all who call it home.
