Scammers Targeting Rolesville Residents

The Town of Rolesville and the Rolesville Police Department are alerting residents to a fraudulent email scam currently targeting Rolesville community members and applicants.

The scam emails originate from a non-official email address — planning-rolesvillen@usa.com — and falsely claim to be from the “Planning Commission Town of Rolesville,” requesting payment of an invoice.

Please note:
The Town of Rolesville only sends official communications from email addresses ending in @rolesvillenc.gov.

Residents are strongly advised to delete these messages immediately and do not click on any links or provide personal or financial information in response.

How to Protect Yourself

  • Be cautious of unsolicited emails or text messages requesting payment or sensitive information
  • Verify any Town-related request by contacting the Town through official channels
  • Report suspicious emails to the Town of Rolesville and the Rolesville Police Department

If you believe you may be a victim of this or a similar scam, please contact the Rolesville Police Department at (919) 556-7226.
