Town of Rolesville Announces 2025 Trail Art Winner

The Town of Rolesville is pleased to announce Marek Kasprisin of Holey Timber has been selected as the 2025 Trail Art Winning Artist(opens in a new tab).  

Marek specializes in crafting quality handmade wood products that stand out for their unique designs and timeless elegance. The artwork pieces are carefully crafted to ensure they serve a purpose and become a statement in any space.  

What sets Marek's work apart is an innovative use of negative space. By thoughtfully incorporating empty space into the designs, it highlights the natural beauty of wood and creates a sense of balance and harmony. 

Trail Art(opens in a new tab) is an award-winning initiative by the Town of Rolesville Parks and Recreation Department that combines the arts with the natural beauty of our greenways and trails. We’ll be placing two of Marek’s art pieces a day somewhere along our greenways for the entire month of June. Those who find the treasures get to keep them. 

This program won the North Carolina Recreation & Park Association's Arts & Humanities Award(opens in a new tab) in 2022.  The award recognizes innovative and effective arts and humanities programs throughout the state.
