Chief of Police Orlando Soto has announced his resignation from the Town of Rolesville. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors as he continues his professional career with another law enforcement agency. Chief Soto has served as Police Chief for the Town of Rolesville for over three years. He started as Captain then served as Interim Police Chief, ultimately being promoted to Police Chief. He has served with integrity and respect while incorporating best policing practices and supporting Rolesville Police Officers during his time as Chief. The Rolesville Police Department and Town have been the beneficiary of Chief Soto’s leadership and he will be missed. Chief Soto’s last day with the Rolesville Police Department will be November 30th.
Captain David Simmons will be the Interim Police Chief effective December 1st. Captain Simmons has served as Captain with the Town of Rolesville for three years. His experience includes 10 years with the North Carolina Highway Patrol and as Rolesville Police Officer from 2003 to 2007.
