On Tuesday, June 16, the Town Board adopted a budget covering the period of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021. The Town's Strategic Plan is prioritized and addressed throughout the budget, in order to advance the long-term vision for the community. The new property tax rate is $0.46 per $100 valuation. This rate is two cents below the current rate, and two cents above the revenue-neutral rate. Additional revenues from property taxes will be used to fund long-term capital savings and address COVID-19 needs. There are no changes to other taxes and fees, including the solid waste fee which will remain at $264 per year. This budget allows service levels to be maintained and to grow proportionally with increases in population.
