Rolesville Secures $3.8M for Sports Facilities

February 19, 2026 — The Town of Rolesville has been awarded $3.8 million in Wake County Hospitality Tax funding to support the construction of athletic fields at The Farm Athletic Complex. The funding is part of a broader $23.5 million county investment in sports, arts, and cultural projects designed to expand tourism, recreation, and community amenities across Wake County.

The Farm Athletic Complex project will provide additional athletic field space to accommodate local recreation programs while also positioning Rolesville to host regional tournaments and events. These improvements are expected to enhance the quality of life for residents, support economic development, and attract visitors to the community.

The funding approved by Wake County Commissioners will go towards building 5 soccer/multipurpose fields and the associated amenities, such as bathrooms, concession stands, parking, and more.

Town leaders view this investment as an important step in preparing for Rolesville’s continued growth while strengthening opportunities for recreation, tourism, and community engagement. The new fields will complement existing parks and facilities and help meet increasing demand for athletic programming in the area.

Countywide, hospitality tax investments are intended to expand facilities, attract visitors, and support local businesses while enhancing cultural, sports, and entertainment opportunities for residents.

More information about the countywide funding approvals can be found on the Wake County website.
