Calm Mom, Calm Baby: A Co-Regulation Circle

Series Description: 
Enjoy calming songs and rhymes, guided activities, and structured connection time for both you and your baby. Learn gentle ways to support your baby's developing nervous system and learn about how to support your child's early development. Please bring your baby blanket!

Age:    0-11 months

Day:    Tuesdays

Time:  9:00am - 9:50am

Class Dates: 

Session 1 Hands-on Harmony: February 3rd-24th

Learn how focused touch and sensory exploration can build calm. We will use various textures (smooth, bumpy, cool) and gentle movements to guide your baby into a state of calm, regulated touch and promote early body awareness.  Mothers also explore how to support their child's early development, what is happening in their brain, and methods of their own self-care and self-regulation.Please bring your baby blanket!

Session 2 Listening Light: March 3rd-24th

Focus on auditory regulation! Discover how music tempo, volume changes, and your own voice can encourage moments of stillness and focused listening in your baby. We'll practice gentle verbal interaction techniques. Mothers also explore how to support their child's early development, what is happening in their brain, and methods of their own self-care and self-regulation. Please bring your baby blanket!

Session 3 Feeling Faces: April 7th-28th

Start building your baby's emotional foundation. We'll practice caregiver modeling of basic emotions and use play to introduce early emotional vocabulary and recognition, setting the stage for emotional literacy. Mothers also explore methods of self-care and self-regulation.   Mothers also explore how to support their child's early development, what is happening in their brain, and methods of their own self-care and self-regulation.   Please bring your baby blanket!

Session 4 Slow Motion Play: May 5th-26th

Learn to play at a gentle pace to prevent overstimulation. This session focuses on moving and playing in a relaxed way to encourage quiet observation, regulated attention, and a state of calm alertness in your baby.  Mothers also explore how to support their child's early development, what is happening in their brain, and methods of their own self-care and self-regulation.   Please bring your baby blanket!

Little Bodies, Big Feelings 

Series Description: 
Classes for young children and their parents or caretakers where we use play, songs, and stories to actively build self-regulation and social awareness skills. Parents and caretakers will learn practical strategies and games to support self-regulation at home and how to handle big feelings in ways that grow the brain and self-regulation skills. Children need to wear active shoes.

Age:    2-3 years old

Day:    Tuesdays

Time:  10:00am - 10:50am

Class Dates: 

Session 1 Volcano Stomps & Stillness: February 3rd-24th

A fun, active session focused on channeling big energy! We will explore acceptable physical outlets for strong emotions, practice body control through start-and-stop activities and games and learn how engage with others with kind and safe bodies. Parents and caretakers will learn about why these activities work, as well as strategies they can do at home to build their child's self-regulation skills. Children need to wear active shoes. 

Session 2 Finding My Words: March 3rd-24th

Help your toddler build self-regulations skills by learning to verbally express their feelings! We’ll play games and engage in activities that practice simple, powerful words and signs to communicate feelings effectively and grow a child's emotional vocabulary. Parents and caretakers will learn practical strategies and games to support self-regulation at home and how to handle big feelings in ways that grow the brain and self-regulation skills. Children need to wear active shoes.

Session 3 Shifting Gears: April 7th-28th

Make transitions easier! Learn strategies for helping your toddler cope with change. We’ll practice using transition songs, clear verbal cues, and visual schedules to manage shifts in activity without a meltdown all while playing games that practice body control, self-regulation and social awareness. Parents and caretakers will learn about why these activities work, as well as strategies they can do at home to build their child's self-regulation skills. Children need to wear active shoes. 

Session 4 Faces and Feelings May 5th-26th

Build emotional intelligence through play! This session focuses on naming and understanding different feelings to build self-awareness. We’ll use games, stories, and activities to help your child learn and express different emotions as well as grow their social skills. Parents and caretakers will learn practical strategies and games to support self-regulation at home and how to handle big feelings in ways that grow the brain and self-regulation skills. Children need to wear active shoes.

Self-Care Through Journaling

Description: 
Take time to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself in this guided journaling series. Each 90-minute workshop explores a unique theme. Through short lessons, creative prompts, and group reflection. Participants will learn practical techniques to reduce stress, boost emotional well-being, and cultivate self-awareness. 

Age:    18+ years old

Day:    Saturday

Time:  10:00am - 11:30am

Session 1 Journaling for Stress Relief: January 24th 

Session 2Journaling for Self-Love & Confidence: February 21st

Session 3 Journaling for Anxiety Relief: March 21st

Explore Nature with ecoEXPLORE – Mill Bridge Nature Park 

Description: We're excited to announce that Mill Bridge Nature Park is now an official ecoEXPLORE HotSpot! ecoEXPLORE is a free program where youth can explore the outdoors, submit real scientific observations, and earn fun field tools and STEM-themed badges. Whether it's spotting a jumping spider, identifying Lyreleaf Sage, or observing local wildlife, every observation helps support real research.
