April 10, 2026 — The Town of Rolesville is expanding its Parks & Recreation offerings through a new Senior Center Without Walls initiative, launching May 11, 2026.
This approach introduces dedicated senior (adults 55+) programming at the Rolesville Community Center on select days each week, while continuing to offer programs for residents of all ages across Town facilities.
The initiative is informed by community feedback, demographic trends, and the Town’s commitment to supporting residents at every stage of life.
“This is about expanding opportunities,” said Mayor Ronnie Currin. “We’re creating more ways for older adults to connect, stay active, and engage in the community without limiting access to existing programs.”
“As liaison to the senior community, I’m excited to see this initiative take shape,” said Commissioner Michael Paul. “It reflects what we’ve been hearing from residents and creates meaningful opportunities for connection, engagement, and well-being.”
Programming will be offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with a focus on wellness, social connection, and lifelong learning.
What Residents Can Expect:
- Expanded programming designed for older adults
- Opportunities for connection and community building
- Activities supporting physical, mental, and social well-being
- Flexible use of existing Town spaces
By using existing facilities, the Town is able to grow programming now while building a foundation for future expansion based on participation and feedback.
Residents are encouraged to explore upcoming programs and sign up early, as space may be limited. Program details, schedules, and registration information are available on the Senior Center Without Walls webpage or by contacting the Parks & Recreation Department directly.
Community members with questions or interest in participating, volunteering, or leading a program are also invited to reach out as the Town continues to grow and shape offerings based on resident feedback.
