Proclamation Approved Recognizing Juneteenth

Mayor Ronnie Currin signed a proclamation recognizing Juneteenth on June 19, 2025. It is the oldest known celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Town Offices will be closed on Juneteenth, and a celebration commemorating the day will take place at the newly renovated Mill Bridge Nature Park amphitheater on June 21, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Review the Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026

On May 20, 2025, the Town Manager presented his Proposed Budget for FY 2025-26 to the governing board. The total recommended budget is $21.6 million, with a property tax rate that remained the same at 40 cents per $100 valuation. A public hearing on the budget will be held on Tuesday, June 3, at 6:30 p.m. at Rolesville Town Hall. The public is invited to attend.

WakeMed Submits Application to Build Health Services in Rolesville

WakeMed Health applied to build a freestanding emergency department in Rolesville. It would include an emergency department, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory services. The potential 32,000-square-foot facility would be located at Burlington Mills Road and Walls Cove Land. It is anticipated to cost $53.8 million. If approved, WakeMed expects to open the facility in 2027.
